Established over 27 years ago, the practice opened to provide the community with quality dental care. Since opening, Sturgis Smiles Family Dental has continued to provide the highest quality of dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. The practice started in a small Main Street Office in Sturgis, SD, and has since built a bigger building to complement the local architecture and to better serve our growing patient list.

Dr. Meg Beckwith

Dr. Meg grew up in the Black Hills and loves everything that the area offers. Most of all, she appreciates the kind people that surround her.

Dr. Meg is grateful to have served 22 years in the Army National Guard. Beginning as an engineer with the 842nd, she was able to see all that Iraq offered when she served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003-2004. After dental school, she became a dentist with the medical detachment for the remainder of her time. Proud to be a veteran, she offers a military discount to all who serve.

Dr. Meg has written and published a children’s book on dentistry, “Dakotah’s Journey to the Dentist,” to ensure children learn the importance of proper dental hygiene in a fun way. Families with children receive a copy at their initial visit.

Dr. Meg and the staff believe strongly in giving back to the community. You can see them doing presentations in elementary schools, beautifying the community, and supporting local sports teams.
